About the House System

The House System has long existed as a traditional component of schools in the English-speaking world to build cultural cohesion among students. Habersham Houses exist to provide students with rich traditions that foster community, service, and hospitality while supporting the classical values and Christian witness of academic life at The Habersham School.

Our students participate in this culture as they learn valuable lessons about how to engage and shape the people,  communities, and cultures in which they live. Through team and individual events, House members compete in four  key areas (Academics, Arts, Athletics, & Service) and earn points throughout the year to win the coveted House Cup each year. Key Annual House events are Patriot Day, Feast Day, Sidewalk Arts Festival, House Olympics. Click here to view the House System Standard.

The House System seeks to establish . . .

  • A thoughtfully engaged student
  • A culturally aware student
  • A community minded student
