Beginning with the end in mind
MORE FULLY HUMAN
In understanding the importance of God’s efforts at restoring His image in us through His son, Jesus Christ, students will demonstrate a life well lived by integrating faith and practice. Students will live as ambassadors for Christ working to reconcile the Gospel through every relationship and opportunity. Thus, in drawing out of students the fullest expression of humanity, Habersham graduates will be:
Thoughtfully Engaged
Students will possess a highly developed moral imagination, having focused on the true, the good, and the beautiful. Because they have learned firsthand the joy of discovery and the value of hard work, students will strive for excellence in all aspects of life. They will thoughtfully pursue their calling with an intention and understanding that all of life might be redeemed for God’s glory.
Culturally Aware
Contemplating the Great Ideas from their learning from the Great Books, Habersham students will be interesting people. Combined with their experience in arts, athletics, and leadership, this will equip students to authentically, skillfully, and winsomely engage society. They will serve as critical thinkers, able to discern and communicate truth in an increasingly pluralistic world.
Community Minded
Students will use their academic and spiritual gifts out of a love for their neighbor and a concern for the common good. With the servant leadership of the House System and maturity gained through mentoring relationships with faculty, students will embody practical wisdom as they live with compassion and purpose in their community. They will live graciously and faithfully for Christ rather than self.
