SAVANNAH, GA, 10/30/20 – The Habersham School, a PreK3 – 12 Classical Christian private school with campuses in the Historic District and Ardsley Park, has named two new members to its Board of Governors, the school announced recently. The new members include Marshall Davis and Rob Kelly.
Marshall is the Owner/Operator of the Chick-fil-A in Pooler, GA. He and his wife Mary Michael are relatively new to the Savannah area, having moved in 2019 from South Carolina where he held the same position at a Chick-fil-A. Marshall and Mary Michael have two children enrolled at Habersham, Jane in Kindergarten and Marshall (IV) in PreK4 and are members at First Presbyterian Church of Pooler. “My family and I have been so blessed to be a part of the Habersham community,” added Davis. “ The faculty joyfully engage our children as individuals, uniquely made in the image of God, as they explore God’s truth in the world around them and discover who God has made them to be. I am excited to serve on the board to see Habersham thrive for years to come.”
Rob Kelly, attorney and partner at Kelly & Kelly on 37th Street, has been practicing law in Savannah since 2000. Rob and his wife Allison have two children enrolled at Habersham, Lucy in Ninth Grade and Betsy in Sixth and are members of Independent Presbyterian Church. “We love having our children at a school that fosters a love for learning and allows them to see God’s hand at work in all facets of their lives. It will be a privilege to serve on the Habersham board,” said Kelly.
“The addition of both Rob Kelly and Marshall Davis to the Habersham Board is a great honor for the Habersham community. Each of them possess distinct skills that will serve the school well, while also possessing an abiding energy for Habersham’s mission,” said Habersham President, Chip Welch.
Returning board members include Glenn Burnsed, Dr. Byron Colley, Dr. Brad Durham, Carol Dusek, Dr. Brian Kornblatt, and Casey Reeves.
